We are HITRUST Certified!
With so much of America working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with privacy breaches an all-too-familiar news story for companies globally, including some insurance businesses, it is more important than ever to ensure information security. It’s important for you and your clients – and of utmost importance to Word & Brown.
You and those you serve can take comfort in knowing The Word & Brown Companies, which includes the Word & Brown General Agency, have earned HITRUST certification.
What is HITRUST?
HITRUST (Health Information Trust Alliance) is a privately held company that works in collaboration with health care organizations (e.g., carriers, Third Party Administrators, General Agencies), technology, and information security leaders to establish security framework designed to store information. It requires an extensive audit of security measures and practices to determine whether information both stored and shared is secure.
Receiving a HITRUST certification is not a requirement of being deemed HIPAA compliant; however, it shows customers of companies proactively earning the certification that their commitment to consumer security is strong.
Our HITRUST CSF Certified status demonstrates Word & Brown’s systems* have met key regulatory requirements and industry-defined requirements and the organization is appropriately managing risk. This achievement places Word & Brown in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification. By including federal and state regulations, standards, and frameworks, and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST CSF helps organizations address these challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.
When you work with Word & Brown, you can be confident the information of both you and your clients is safe and secure.
*The selected systems used by Word & Brown Insurance Administrators, Inc. that have earned the HITRUST CSF certification are Orion, Quotomatic, Great Plains, Enterprise applications, and their supporting infrastructures.
