Prominence Exiting Nevada ACA Market; Other Options Abound

Prominence Health Plan announced last month that it has withdrawn from the Nevada Affordable Care Act (ACA) market effective April 3, 2026. All current Small Group ACA policies will end September 30, 2026, regardless of their previously scheduled renewal date.
Rather than continue in a market structure that no longer serves small businesses well, Prominence Health is choosing to reallocate its resources toward more flexible, competitive, and sustainable plan designs that better meet employer needs. This includes a roster of Association Health Plan (AHP) offerings. Please reach out to your sales team for valuable recommendations.
Alternative Options for Nevada Employers
In addition to Prominence AHP options that may be available to some of your groups, Word & Brown (W&B) can help you shop for alternative plans. We have other carrier and health plan partners offering a variety of Nevada options, including:- Aetna Funding Advantage (Small Group Medical, Large Group Medical, Ancillary)
- Angle Health (Small Group and Large Group Medical)
- Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (AHP Small Group Medical, ACA Small Group, Level Funding, Large Group Medical, Ancillary)
- BBSI (Small Group Medical, Large Group Medical, and PEO)
- Cigna (Level Funding and Large Group Medical)
W&B’s Nevada Team is eager to help you find replacement coverage for groups impacted by the Prominence Health ACA marketplace exit. Reach out to Mona Hannah or Josh Carle today to learn more. It’s important not to wait since all Prominence ACA plans will terminate on 09/30/2026.
