Tech Team Updates for October 2023


The Tech Team Updates this month offer more news you can use concerning Ease, the online enrollment platform for health insurance brokers working in the 2-250 employee marketplace.
Ease Intake Form: Be sure you are always using the most current Word & Brown Intake Form for cases you’re setting up in Ease. Download the form and instructions now.
In-App Updates: Agency Changes Made Self-Service: Brokers can now process and complete Agency Change Requests in-app. The transferring broker will need bits of additional information about the receiving brokers. Follow these instructions:
  1. Go to the client’s company profile.
  2. Navigate to the “Access” tab.
  3. Select “Change Agency” under this tab.
  4. Enter the “New Agency’s Custom Domain Name” (URL).
  5. Enter the new administrator’s email address and select “Request Change.”
  6. A task will be generated for the receiving broker to accept the transfer.
New Hire Progress Screen Relocated: The New Hire progress screen was often tough to locate and navigate previously. Now, it has a brand-new home. All New Hire progress has moved under the To-Do’s tab, making it easier to find. Quickly locate New Hires and check their progress to save time instead of searching through employees one by one.

Troubleshoot: Verifying Billing Access
To verify Broker Billing Access, follow these steps:
  • Navigate to your Agency via the user menu icon in the upper-right of the screen.
  • Go to the Employees tab.
  • Search and select the broker user’s name to open the broker Profile.
  • View the Billing Access option to confirm whether the broker user has access. (If the box is marked, the broker has access.)
To verify Company Admin Billing Access, follow these steps:
  • Navigate to the Company.
  • Go to the Employees tab.
  • Search and select the employee’s name to open the employee’s Profile.
  • Go to Logins.
  • View the Billing Access option to confirm if the Company Admin has access. (If the box is marked, the Company Admin has access.)
